Shen Chao-liang (沈昭良) thinks photography is an effective way to connect with the world. He started out by focusing on specific themes even with limited knowledge of how to operate a camera. Gradually, Shen discovered the power of photography is in looking for things that go beyond the artistic medium itself like human interactions, approaches to life, and ways of thinking. When art making involves social issues, it is crucial to start deeper conversations with the public to bring about meaningful change.
